Es en realidad una versión de la original La Complainte du partisan de Emmanuel d'Astier de la Vigerie (apodado 'Bernard' en la Resistencia Francesa), con música de Anna Marly. Se emitió por primera vez en 1943 la BBC dirigida a la Francia ocupada. Un grito de reconocimiento a la labor de todos esos héroes que luchaban como podían contra el nazismo
